A diverse group of street magicians are each given a tarot card that calls them to a mysterious meeting. A year or so later, they tour as a big stadium group known as the Four Horsemen and on their first performance, they rob a bank. This brings an FBI agent after them; but what is their real agenda?

Although this was pretty entertaining, it wasn’t the wild ride I had hoped for. Some of the performances were a bit flat and there was a bit too much exposition for my taste. That said, when it got going, it got going very well. The magic was suitably spectacular, even when explained by Morgan Freeman. There was even a good car chase!

I would recommend this for a matinee excursion on a hot or rainy day. It is kid-friendly and most would probably like it. Little violence, no sex and minimal swearing. And no post-credit nuisance, so feel free to flee and pee.

Flytrap rating: 7/10
