Rated R
Running time: 97 mins

When new parents see a fraternity moving in next door, they attempt to negotiate a truce, but it goes downhill quickly as both sides declare war.

This isn’t as funny as it could have been, but it is still very entertaining. Seth Rogen plays his usual stoner shtick, but Rose Byrne is magnificent as the scheming and fearless mother. Zac Efron and the rest of the frats do the job. Kudos to Kudrow for a spot-on performance as the pragmatic Dean of the school.

This would be an excellent matinee movie and not bad as a main event. Leave the kids; it is very raunchy. No post-credit scenes, so wander on out aimlessly when they roll.

Flytrap rating: 7/10
