A Temporal Agent that has been tracking down a serial bomber takes time to confront his past and come to terms with who he is and where he comes from.

This is the best adaptation of a Heinlein story, ever. By far. If you haven’t read the story, I would see the movie first; you might need to read the story to straighten your mind out after watching it. Hawke is as good as ever, but kudos, big ones, to Sarah Snook. Look out for all the Heinlein nods, including the Doctor that gives Jane some big news.

Unfortunately, the great parts are wrapped around a flimsy attempt at a thriller that really goes nowhere; the resolution is a bit open-ended and a bit trite.

Still, well-worth seeing, but with a very limited release in theatres. It is on Video On Demand and I would recommend spending the bucks. No post-credit scenes.

Flytrap rating: 7.5/10
