A school detention class turns into a training session for these potential superheros, but there are plenty of bumps along the way as they try find their way to Morphin’ Time!
I found myself grinning a lot watching this; it was a lot of fun. The angst-lite was well balanced by the silliness and just the right dose of cheese. Great special effects, beautiful cinematography, and a lively soundtrack all combined to deliver a fun little film. And kudos to Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, a vicious villain we can boo at, while still thinking, “Wow, she’s hot.”
I’ll recommend this one as some good, light entertainment. There is a cut scene in the credits that is supposed to mean something, I have no idea what. There are no post-credit scenes, so you can power out and skip the endless churn.
