Burying girls alive can be a bad idea!

There might be some calamitous consequences….

(Warning, there are spoilers)

Here are three examples, which should be enough to convince you to throw that shovel away and consider some roses or a nice box of chocolates instead.

Sadako Yamamura  Ringu

Samara Morgan The Ring

Both Ringu (the orignal from Japan) and The Ring (remake from America) tell the story of a powerfully gifted, but troublesome girl who no one knows how to deal with.
So they push her down a well.
But her presence returns as an angry spirit that enchants an eldritch message on a videotape and after you watch it, rings your phone and tells you that you have seven days to live.
And then you get this:

The moral of this is, (in my best Sam Kinison voice)  DON’T PUSH LITTLE GIRLS DOWN A WELL!!! THEY’LL KILL EVERYONE!!!

Lisbeth Salander

Starting with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, we are introduced to an enigmatic young woman who, among other things, doused her Papa with gasoline and set him on fire.
And good for her; to say he was an asshole is the understatement of the century.
In The Girl Who Played With Fire, she hunts down her father, but is shot and buried alive. This seems to inconvenience her a bit and when she confronts her father

Well, that’s an axe she’s holding there. If you want to know what happens next, watch the movie. Watch all of them. The Fincher remake is also excellent. You can rent them on Amazon Prime, which would be cheaper (and probably a better choice) than going to the movies for the latest releases.

Beatrice Kiddo / The Bride

In Kill Bill, we learn that one of the most dangerous of a squad of elite killers has tried to retire, only to be hunted down by said squad, shot almost to death, then kept in a coma for four years. When she escapes the hospital in which she had been confined, she commences to exact some gruesome retribution from her former compadres. In Kill Bill 2, she confronts Bill’s brother, but he manages to ambush her and then, well, you know.
However, she was trained by Pai Mei and puts she puts her training at breaking out of coffins to good use.

Someone is in a lot of trouble.

Summing up, I would postulate that burying women alive, no matter how irksome they may be, could very well come back to haunt, harass, or hack you to bits. You have been warned.
